Deputy Commissioner, Lahore, Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore responded.
The petition states that the District of Columbia's order is "illogical and unreasonable and violates the fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan."
The petition, which asked the court to reverse the commissioner's order, said the order "does not limit the rights of assembly, freedom of expression, discrimination and due process." Articles 15, 16, 17, 19 and 25 respectively".
Meanwhile, the HRCP said it was shocked by the response of local administrations in at least three cities, now Islamabad and Multan, to the various Aurat Martch collectives who said they could not exercise their right to peacefully assemble in places of their choice. March 8 weekend
"It is the responsibility of local governments to ensure safety and prevent such incidents," HRCP said in a statement on Saturday.
